	ふくろ　ほうすけ 僕は置物のみみずくです お母さんの名前は おふくろさんといいいます お休みなさい 外は真っ暗で 起きているのは 僕とお星さまだけです みんな寝静まると 遠くの川が近くに寄ってきて せせらぎの音を聞かせてくれます 子供は寝ていて笑うことがあります 怖い夢をみて泣くことがあります 時々大人は笑いも泣きもせず 夜中になってもなかなか寝ないの 何が寂しいのかな 何でも聞いてあげるよ でも お金は持っていなし 魔法も使えないし お返事ができないので 僕も黙って遠くを見ているの
A Horned Owl’s Mumbling I am a horned owl ornament. My mother’s name is Mom Good night, everyone. It is so dark outside and the only things that are awake are me and the stars in the sky. When everybody is asleep, the distant river comes close to me and lets me listen to the sound of its stream. Children sometimes laugh in their sleep. They sometimes cry from a bad dream. Grown ups do not laugh or cry in their sleep. They sometimes cannot fall asleep even after midnight. I wonder what makes them sad. I can listen to their problems, but I have no money, and I can’t play magic for them. Because I can’t answer to them I just keep looking far away in silence.
